Water Everywhere by Noon
Songkran conditions escalated faster than forecast. By midday the arterial streets were waist-deep in transit traffic mixed with festival water, and any unprotected lens was a loss.
The working method held: one sealed camera, one dry bag, one elevated vantage per hour. The shark dive footage cut against street-level festival frames reads almost like tide charts — immersion rising through both halves of the edit.
Both halves of the finished cut share a single subject — water — separated only by depth and speed. Underwater, the frame holds still long enough to study; street-level, nothing holds at all. The register stands as the field record for the April Bangkok period, filed from between those two registers while conditions on both sides of the waterline escalated through the day.
By noon the field note was one line: water everywhere.
