Ridgeline Above the Inversion
Filed from altitude during the Above Clouds shoot. The cloud layer sat below the ridge line for most of the morning, flattening depth cues and turning every wide shot into a study of texture rather than distance.
Movement over broken granite at 1,400 meters demands shorter strides and constant ankle work. The camera crew noted that pacing settled into a metronomic rhythm after the first ascent — useful reference for any future edit that wants to match cut frequency to footfall.
The register keeps three constants from that morning: the inversion line holding below the ridge, the granite underfoot, and the pacing. Everything else — cloud density, colour temperature, wind — shifted hourly and was logged as it shifted.
The published film record preserves the morning as shot; this register preserves the conditions the camera did not need to frame.
